Mar Ivanios College of Education, Kunthoor, an affiliated college, was set up in the year 2004 in Perabe, Puttur Taluk, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka. This institution which has been accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offers teacher education programme. At present, Mar Ivanios College of Education, Kunthoor, offers only one fundamental course, the Bachelor of Education programme (B.Ed). It has an approved capacity of one hundred students and takes two years of full-time classes to complete catering the needs of the institution qualified educators. The B.Ed programme aims at making students be equipped with the relevant knowledge, skills together with practical experience that shall allow a successful teaching profession.
