Modern education is well embraced in the college by having an outstanding Information Technology infrastructure, hence well preparing the students for the modern world. These courses are taught at two degrees – Bachelor’s as well as Master’s degrees. The BA programmes offered are Hindi, Sanskrit , Ancient History, Sociology , Education and Home Science. In Post post-graduate level, the college provides a Master of Arts M.A. in Home Science and Sociology. MA Home Science has 30 seats for enrollment, and MA Sociology has an intake of 60 seats. This diverse number of courses makes it possible for a student to pursue any course of his or her choice, depending on his or her aspirations. The admission procedure in Maharani Gulab Kumari Mahila Mahavidyalaya is still mainly competitive, especially for postgraduate courses. For both the MA Home Science and the MA Sociology, admission is based on merit, which means that admission is perhaps based on the performance of the applicants in their under studies. To our surprise, the college has an exclusively female student admission policy, which has a positive impact on regional women’s educational power through college education.
