The KVG Medical College, Karunjibag, came into existence in 2002, and it is an affiliated college in Sullia, Karnataka. Regulated by the National Medical Commission (NMC), this medical school for both males and females provides a wide choice of medical courses. The total number of students that were admitted is 441, and the number of faculty & staff is 224. The college provides a good atmosphere for aspiring medical professionals. College provides 27 courses in 7 degree programmes in various fields, such as MBBS, MD, MS, BPT and various other diploma courses. Currently, KVG Medical College has all varieties of medical courses, in total offering 27 programmes. This involves full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes. The most popular undergraduate course is MBBS , where the college intake is 100. The postgraduate courses, namely various MD and MS, offer a specialised course in Anatomy, Pharmacology , Physiology, General Surgery and many more. Though the college offers medical and other professional courses, it also offers allied health science courses, such as the Bachelor of Physical Therapy with 40 students, B.Sc. Medical lab technology, and B.Sc. Medical imaging technology for 20 students each. Also,o for the students who want to pursue education for a shorter duration, diploma programmes are offered in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Operation Theatre Technology, and Medical X-Ray Technology. There is no direct admission at KVG Medical College, but students have the opportunity to be admitted based on a national-level entrance test. NEET UG is used for admission to the MBBS programme, and it is an eligibility cum entrance test. For admission in MD and MS courses, admission is offered on the basis of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for Postgraduates ( NEET PG ).
