Kuvempu Shatamanothsava Shikshana Mahavidyalaya, Shimoga in Kuvempu, Karnataka is an Institute for Training Teachers. Kuvempu Shatamanothsava Shikshana Mahavidyalaya currently offers one primary course: or what is referred to as the Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed ) programme. This course is a two-year full-time course with an approved intakes of one hundred students. B.Ed programme aims to provide the pedagogy, skills, and experience that is needed by a future teacher to be effective in his or her chosen endeavours. Thus the intent of the college in focusing this specialised teacher training programme emphasises its concerns in quality education in teacher preparation. The admission procedure is done strictly on merit basis which refers to marks secured in the previous examination and/or entrance exam. The college abide by the admission policies as dictated by the state government of Karnataka and the affiliated University. This approach can enable deserving individuals to actualize their desire of becoming tutors through a transparent method that was developed in this approach.
