The Kasturi college of education, Coimbatore was started in 2008 and it is one of the reputed college for teacher education. This affiliated college is situated in Sugunapuram, Kuniyamuthur and occupies about 4.54 acres of land. It is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE, which answers to the quality standards of its programmes. It also has an auditorium which can accommodate up to a thousand persons and can be used for meeting, functions, inter-collegiate programmes, work-shops and conferences, cultural shows and other related activities. Kasturi College of Education conducts full time B.Ed programme which has an approved intake capacity of one hundred students. This two-year course is about ensuring that the students obtain the practice and knowledge that is needed to secure satisfactory practice in teaching.
