Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College understands the challenges of learning hence aims at ensuring students have a favourable learning environment. To support the learning needs and development of its students, KAMC has developed several amenities. Its key facility is a library which stocks both print and electronic media and is capable of comfortably seating one hundred students at once. As a centre of education for Ayurvedic course, the college has well equipped laboratories like the Anatomy Museum and Dissection hall, Shareera Kriya Laboratory, Dravya Guna Laboratory, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Laboratory. These facilities are very important for practical sessions considered mandatory for learning Ayurvedic procedures. Because of the many students who come from other stations, KAMC has two hostels for boys and girls, each a capacity of more than four hundred students. These hostels are situated near the campus and provide a secure accommodation meeting recreational and lifestyle requirements with separate kitchen and dining facilities. Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College has a plethora of courses taught in Ayurvedic medicine. The college offers 6 full time courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The KAKAMC offers undergraduate programme of BAMS for the year 50 seats in the programme. The admission criteria into Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, affiliated College of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore , follows merit and favours the standards provided by the governing bodies of Ayurveda. The admissions to the BAMS programme starts after the declaration of the X Standard Plus Two Pre University Course (10+2) results, provided the seats are available in the state quota; for which those who want to join the college directly can book their seats in advance under the management quota. Conversation of students based on postgraduate programmes admission also follows merit system. One point that must be made here is that NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is compulsory for admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes irrespective of the category for which student applies which could either be government quota or management quota. For the postgraduate courses, AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) scores are also taken in consideration. The college accepts applications for central and state government quotas and directs the candidate to keep checking government notifications’ for the same. These include fully equipped modern facilities for both theoretical and practical tutelage to produce quality Auyrvedic medical personnel for KAMC. Such a stringent admission process coupled with better quality education has ensured that KAMC gains a worthy place in the realm of Ayurvedic learning.
