JPB College of Teacher Education is an affiliated college situated in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh which is mainly focusing on the teacher education. Founded in view of training up teachers of the nation’s future generation, the institute has been recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located at Sankal kheda Kalan, Ashok Nagar Road, (SH.No. 19), Vidisha-464001, Sagar, the college is co-educational, admitting students from all communities. JB College of Teacher Education has a small faculty of 8 members and believes in a student centered approach. Institute has a variety of facility with the aim of facilitating learning of students in the institute. In light of this need, a well-stocked library plays an important role of acting as central reference for students and resources crucial for anyone who wishes pursue a teaching profession. Though, the college understands the role of physical education and provides necessary facilities to balance between the books and sports. There is a cafeteria on the territory of the learning institution to provide the staff and students with the necessary meals, an auditorium for different occasions and seminars to promote the atmosphere of learning. The college also has departmental laboratories to support practical lessons that are very essential to train teachers. Also, JPB College of Teacher Education has developed alumni associations which enable students to find jobs, internships and other suggestions from the college. Currently, JPB College of Teacher Education has only one main course in the field of teacher education. The D.Ed programme is a two year full course designed on preparing the students for a rigorous teaching profession. Based on the approved intake the institute offers this programme for 50 students to facilitate effective and extensive learning. This course structure helps the college to ensure high quality education and sufficient focus on each individual student in order to ensure effective preparation for all the future teacher performances.
