Institute of Asian Medical Sciences Unani Medical College and Hospital was established in 1993 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in Srinagar. Located in Habbak Crossing, Zakura, near the well-known Baba Atomic Research Centre, this affiliated college offers a programme in Unani medicine, combining the ancient system of healing with conventional education system of today. The institute that is located at a spacious 2-acre campus has a current strength of 200 students, and it has 34 teaching and non teaching staff. Continuing in the tradition of its specialisation in Unani medical education, the college provides a single degree programme, the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS).
