The central library in Block I of the SSB Gate Campus has more than 15,000 books and functions six days a week to provide adequate support for research and study. IGTAMSU has separate hostels for girls that are well maintained, comfortable, and secure for the girl students. The hostel has well-maintained visiting areas and hygienic dining facilities. Students who love sports can enjoy their time in different sports facilities available at the institution. It promotes physical fitness and recreational activities. The campus is fully supported by modern IT infrastructure that allows digital learning and technological enhancement of education. IGTAMSU offers a wide variety of courses cutting across disciplines. The University offers 34 full-time Undergraduate and Post Graduate Courses, Diploma, and Certificate programs. Some of these courses include ANM , GNM, B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology, BPT, MBA , and various specialised M.Sc. and M.A . programs. This, itself, reflects the commitment of the institute towards maintaining optimum class strength for effective learning. Admission into IGTAMSU is course dependent. For most courses, the university conducts its own entrance examination through which the eligibility of the candidates is checked. For example, admission to the M.Sc Medical Laboratory Technology (Pathology) course is granted on the basis of merit in a Common Entrance examination conducted by the varsity. IGTAMSU also accepts scores from national-level entrance exams like NEET for relevant medical courses.
