IIMT College of Education, Meerut, is one of the front-runners of the year 1994, following the ideal of shaping future education with a vision. The co-educational college in Meerut offers a range of courses in the education domain. IIMT College of Education is a college affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education, which is in the process of educating and training prospective teachers for nearly thirty years. IIMT College of Education provides a total of four courses, of which all are full-time programmes. These are Bachelor of Education, B.Ed; Master of Education , M.Ed; Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed; and Bachelor of Physical Education , B.P.Ed. The total intake of the college in D.El.Ed, M.Ed, and B.P.Ed programmes taken together is 175. This mix of courses provides admission from the several range of education, including elementary teaching to physical education, in which students benefit from multiple career paths promised in the education field. Admission to B.Ed. is made on the basis of merit, till state government/university norms, based on marks of the candidates obtained in the entrance examination or qualifying examination. Admission to the M.Ed. course is done on the basis of merit; it may be followed by a group discussion or a personal interview. Admissions to D.El.Ed. will be made at the Government of Uttar Pradesh level through online applications, which will be followed by district-level selection based on merit.
