ICG Institute of Educational Research and Development (IIERD), instituted in 2006, is one of the most sought after educational institutio in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. This affiliated college is established at RIICO Institutional Area, Sitapura and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The IIERD has a vast complex land of 9.08 acres, which gives an environment for good teachings and developments. With respect to the students’ needs, the institute aims at offering a comprehensive learning environment with diverse learning facilities. The central library of IIERD has 25,000 books, of which 41 are magazines, 46 are journals, 36 are periodicals and contains 98 CD ROMs. A distinct library has been provided for M.ED and B.ED programmes which consist of 4861 books and 25 journals of their own kind. It provides the library facility which can accommodate 150 students at a time thus can help in providing research facility. In order to fulfil the needs of students as well as their comfort,, IIERD gives well-facilitated hostels for boys and girls separately. It also has functional laboratory, event and seminar, sports, and first-aid facilities in the form of a health centre. Other services include the gym, a cafeteria, a guest house, and transport facilities as it seek to provide for comfortable and fulfilling physical and/or academic student experience. IIERD offers two full-time courses in the field of education, B.ED and M.ED. Both the programmes aims at producing efficient educators and educational researchers. The B.Ed programm e has a strength of 100 students and the M.Ed programme at fifty students intake. These courses have been designed in such a way that it offers the students an over view of the educational system, theories, practices, and research methodologies that are practiced today, with the aim to produce brightly qualified staff in the field of teaching and educational administration.There are two courses in education at IIERD which has been dedicated to encourage skilled education professionals in the future. The admission process of IIERD is entrance-based based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and /or entrance test. For the B.Ed programme, students the admissions are done on merit basis depending upon the marks obtained in the qualifying examination or entrance test as per the rules and regulation of the state government, UT administration and this university. In the same way, the admission in M. Ed programme are meritorious depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination / entrance examination/ any other criteria as mentioned in the Government / University / UT notification at the time of admission.
