Gunwant Rao Deshmukh College of Education, Pusad, was started in 2005 and presently it is a self financing institution that is exclusively involved in the teacher education. Situated in Yavatmal city of the state Maharashtra, this is a co-educational institution spread over an area of 1.75 acres. The college is affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to provide the educational program up to the mark. The college has a maximum strength of 80 students and faculty of 9, which provides an extended classroom concept. The institute offers two professional teaching specialty programmes for prospective educators at two different levels. These courses to provide students with the core competencies and knowledge that enable him/her as a teacher to teach at different levels within education system.
