Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education, Nidagundi, started in 2007 is a co-educational college for imparting education to teachers. This affiliated college is situated in Vijayapura, Karnataka, and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Present in a 5-acre area, the institute is running two courses in education with a total strength of 84 students. The college currently has a facultyof 10, and has a favourable student-faculty ratio, which is a plus for offering quality education. The Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education offers various infrastructural facilities with intentions of improving the learning experience of the students. Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education has two full-time courses to offer in the stream of education. There is a sanctioned strength of 100 seats for B.Ed and 50 seats for Diploma in Education ( D.Ed ). Both programmes take two years to complete; they prepare future teachers for their careers as educators. Providing specialised attention to the teacher education, the college has staked mainly on these two core programmes and helps students to shape a successful educational career. At Grameena Vidyavardka College of Education, admission is strictly based on marks of the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. Admission policies are in conformity with the Government of Karnataka state and the university to which the college is affiliated. For the B.Ed programme, Admission shall be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination or test to be conducted as per the rules and regulations framed by the state government & the University.
