Government First Grade College Bettampady (GFGC Bettampady), also known as Girmit, is an accredited and co-educational institute established in 1991. Sited in Puttur Taluk of Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, India, it is an affiliated college with a spread of 7.2 acres. 6 of the college courses are taught across the five degree programmes offered at the institution to a student enrolment of 494. The programmes are BA-History, Economics and Political Science , BBA, B.Com , B.Sc with options in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computer Science, and BSW .
