Government College of Engineering Kalahandi was established in 2009 by an act of the Government of Odisha. The Government College of Engineering Kalahandi offers a total of two degrees and six courses in the field of engineering and architecture. The Government College of Engineering Kalahandi has 43 faculty members. Government College of Engineering Kalahandi is a constituent institute of BIJU Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and also a government college located at the District Headquarters of Kalahandi, i.e. Bhawanipatna.     This college is totally fine and having many facilities but due to lack of advertisement and marketing many of the students think that it is not up to the mark, but it is not like that there are also hostel facility available for both boys and girls. Over-all th college is really outstanding.
