The MS Ramaiah Dental College and Hospital was established in 1992 affiliated to the MAGR University, Bangalore, Karnataka. It is an affiliated college accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and have been in the business of moulding the future of dental education since 1983. Located in the culturally and socially bustling M S R Nagar locale, this institution forms a part of the sprawling MS Ramaiah Educational City which provides students with curriculum overdrive. MS Ramaiah Dental College and Hospital is culturally diverse, and therefore has the following enrolment; total enrolment in the year 2022 was 410 students . There is preponderance of female students with 74% as against the male students showing an increasing trend in the enrolment of female students in the dental sciences. The institute comprises both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes The ratio of students enroling in UG courses is 73% whereas Student enroling in PG Course is only 27%. It provides 10 full time courses. The BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental Surgery which serves as anchor for the undergraduate programmes in which the university offers 60 seats every year. For those who wish to pursue masters the college offers several Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) fields that includes: Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral Pathology and Microbiology and Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics .
