Dairy Science College, Gulbarga is another constituent college at Mahagaon Cross, Gulbarga District was started in the year 2008. This is an institute of specialized education for the technology of milk and its products at this level. Situated in a large area of 108 acres this college provides the students a different ambiance to learn all about dairy. With total enrolment in this college being 94 and a faculty team comprising of only 2 people, the students are easily handled and exposed to practical exercises within the dairy farming field. The institution provides only one course in B.Tech in Dairy Technology and it is a four year full time programme. Dairy Science College Gulbarga offers only the B.Tech Dairy Technology programme which is a four-year full time programme. Admissions are given on the basis of percentage of marks scored in the second-PUC examination of Karnataka or any equivalent examination and preference is given to marks scored in the subjects Physics, chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
