Com-Point Institute of Information Technology (CPIIT) was set up in 2000, is one of the growing institute located in cuttack Odisha. Located at Canal Road, BK Road, Cuttack, CPIIT is envisioned to provide various relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to meet dynamic IT and business industry requirements. In terms of student capacity, the institute has an overall strength of 85 students and faculty of 6, which is beneficial for the students trying to get a concentrated professional education. CPIIT has provided several facilities which have made a positive mark of its students. The college library fulfils the function of an information center as it provides for all knowledge required in the college. It also guarantees up-to-date IT facilities to enable students master the current technology in the markets relating to their respective courses. Furthermore, a myriad of laboratories respond to the practical training needs of students in various departments, where they are given a chance to perform experiments based on their gained theories. The institute provides a wide house of full-time programs and the courses range from undergraduate to the postgraduate level. CPIIT currently provides four distinct courses : BBA, MFC , BCA, PGDCA etc. These are programmes that the students can undertake to enable them acquire the requisite skills, knowledge and training to fit into competitive markets such as business and information technology. The BBA and BCA programmes take three years while the MFC course takes two years. For the candidates, who don’t want to do a full time degree, the PGDCA awards a one-year degree in computer applications.
