Chrishtian College of Education, Perambalur is one of the pioneering institution started in the year 2008 and located in Tamil Nadu, India. This co-educational school is established in Venkatesapuram, and its main aim is to prepare future teachers. Patterning a compact area of 0.86 of an acre, the college has two distinct courses in education with a total student enrolment capacity of one hundred and three. Approved by National Council for Teacher Education and recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, it is an affiliated college that strives to uphold its standard. The faculty strength of the institute comprises 16 regular teachers only, and it guarantees to give individual attention to the students and provide the best faculties for their education. Christian College of Education offers two full-time courses : a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The B.Ed programme is a two-year programme with a carrying capacity of a hundred students who aim at being competent secondary school teachers. Another new programme is the D.El.Ed , a two years course which can take a maximum of 50 students and is aimed at teaching educators for primary and upper primary standards. Both programmes are designed in a way that a candidate is equipped with enough knowledge, ideas, and skills related to educational theories, teaching methodologies and practical teaching competencies obtained in classroom settings. Everyone who applies for admission at the Christian College of Education is given an equal chance under the merit system that considers the marks scored in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests as prescribed by the state government and the affiliated university.
