Overview

Buddha Degree College is located in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh and is an educational institution that offers various bachelor's programmes. The college admission process adheres to the established structure found in any type of degree college in Uttar Pradesh. Buddha Degree College is an affiliate of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University (or DDU Gorakhpur University), Gorakhpur. The bachelor's degree courses offered by the college include B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science), and B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce). Admissions are primarily based on the percentage obtained by a candidate in their 12th-grade board examinations. The customary cycle of admission for colleges in Uttar Pradesh is similarly applied here, with the admission process beginning after 12th standard results (May-June). To be eligible to apply to undergraduate programmes, candidates must have completed high school (or 10+2) from a recognised board, and program applications will have separate subject requirements based on the chosen programme. In other words, if a candidate is to be admitted to the B.Sc., they must have studied Science subjects in high school, and if they apply to the B.Com., priority will be given to Commerce or Economics stream candidates. The minimum percentage thresholds for each programme may also vary according to the programme applied to and the applicant category. Buddha Degree College, Gorakhpur, offers three degree programmes across four courses: BBA , B.Sc (Maths & Bio streams), and B.Com. Admission to the BBA programme is based on marks obtained in the 12th standard, open to students from any stream, with possible cutoff percentages applied depending on demand and seats. The B.Sc programme requires students to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology at 10+2, with admission based on merit lists of qualifying exam scores. For the B.Com programme, candidates who have passed 10+2 with the Commerce stream are given preference, although students from other streams may also apply if they meet the prescribed criteria. Students must check the college website and notice boards regularly for updates and are advised to apply early to avoid last-minute complications. All documents must be produced in original during admission verification at Buddha Degree College, Gorakhpur.
