The Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College, Rajahmundry, also referred to as BVCEC, was established in 1997. It is the most revered learning institution. This affiliated college spreads over a vast 35.61-acre campus at Palacharla, Rajamundry, Andhra Pradesh. There are 14 courses offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of engineering. The sanctioned intake for all the B.Tech programmes is 60 to 180 seats per course, while all M.Tech programmes normally accommodate 18 seats each. For B Tech programmes, 70 per cent of seats in Category A are filled-up by merit rank secured by the candidates in the respective entrance tests- EAMCET or JEE while 30 percent of remaining seats in Category B are filled-up on a merit basis and those from other states, Union Territories and NRI sponsored students.
