Bharathiyar College of Education, Marakkanam is an affiliated college, situated in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu and was started in the year 2008. This co-educational institution that is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is involved in offering teachers training courses only. Situated on a modest 5-acre campus, the college offers two full-time courses, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). B.Ed course is a two-year full-time course and has been approved to admit 100 students. The second full time programme is the Diploma is Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) which also avails 50 seats. These constitute the troop of academic programmes that provide for the skills and knowledge in teaching practice, for the college is preparing skilled and knowledgeable educators for the primary and secondary schools.
