Bharathiyar Centenary Memorial Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Ettayapuram, commonly known as BCMGWPC, was started in the year ans is situated in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu This is a women college which aims to offer quality technical education for its students. BCMGWPC is an affiliated college with the AICTE, All India Council for Technical Education. The college expands its enrolment of students to 574 and faculty of 14 members and it provides a wide range of diploma programmes. It offers 10 courses in a range of disciplines of engineering designed for female students, aimed at developing their technical potential and promoting their career goals. Bharathiyar Centenary Memorial Government Women’s Polytechnic Collegeis determined to make sure that it avails different amenities that will allow students have a good learning environment. The campus also consists of a well stocked library with over 15, 000 books across different disciplines to improve the students studies. At present, BCMGWPC has total of ten diploma courses where all the courses are designed as full time courses. The college offers engineering options in Mechanical Engineering , Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering , Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Garment Technology and Instrumentation & Control Engineering. A total of 574 student are placed through all the courses, the institution avails adequate student density per faculty. The management of admissions in Bharathiyar Centenary Memorial Government Women’s Polytechnic College is based on merit and self- financing. The polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu offer admissions up to 10th standard or equivalent examination. In accordance to TN DTE norms, the college shall have standard procedures for admission procedures for a particular academic year.
