Overview

Bhadrak Autonomous College was established in 1948 and indeed is one of the most renowned autonomous institutions situated in Bhadrak in the state of Odisha. Covering an area of 27 acres, the college operates under the NAAC accreditation and is approved under NCTE or National Council for Teacher Education. This college offers a total of 52 courses across 15 degrees, and has enrolled student population of 3,872 and has number of faculty of 31 members. It has a plethora of specialization in arts, commerce and science streams and helps build a holistic learning environment. The college has assembled the finest collection of ‘user-friendly’ attributes and amenities for the student body. Self-financing hostels include boys’ hostels and girls’ hostels to house a total of seven hundred and seventy- two students. The boys’ hostel located at west hostels, central hostels and Ambedkar hostels are accommodating 364 students and the girls’ hostel located at Poorvasha, Pratyasa, Kanika and Pratichee hostels with 520 students. The amenities in each hostel include common rooms, cable TV and these contribute to provision of comfortable living. Incorporating student health, the college has a health centre which is manned by a medical officer from the CDMO, Bhadrak. For community health lovers, there is a multi gym that serves the institution’s people. It has undergraduate and postgraduate programs which are offered at Bhadrak Autonomous College. The institution offers 52 programmes in arts, commerce, science and professional programme. Some of the undergraduate courses include BA (Hons) in Economy , English, and political science , B.Com in Accounting and Finance and B.Sc (Hons) in Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics . At post graduate level, this college provides MA, M.Sc and M.Com in different streams of studies. The college also conducts several self-financed professional programs including BCA , BBA, MBA and B.Ed .
