Baba Farid College of Pharmacy Ludhiana was established in the year 2018 and it is a fledging colleges catering to the education need in field of pharmacy in Punjab, India. This affiliated college is in Morkarima, Mullanpur and while it has only recently moved into the field of pharmacy education it has been making quite the impact. This institute has been approved by the All India council for Technical Education making sure that the institute complies with the norm set by the government of India. Currently the college is having a faculty strength of 7 members only and it is intention is also to imparting the quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The college has listed several installations that provide improvements for the students’ learning process. Old Establishment Institutional Library is a knowledge hub and accommodated library providing national and international journal subscriptions. It houses about 5000 books mainly pharmaceutical and allied fields and is a veritable gold mine for students and members of staff. The laboratories in Baba Farid College of Pharmacy are well developed mainly in the following skill sets. They enable students get prestigious guidelines on working natural drug sources and phytochemical screening. As for the instruments, the labs include gas chromatography, binocular microscopes, projecting microscopes, TLC spreaders, Clevenger’s apparatus for isolating of various active constituents. Further, it has a good IT setup and the college boasts of updating the learners with the modern trends in Information Technology. Baba Farid College Of Pharmacy teaches two basic subjects in the field of pharmacy. The institute offers a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) program which has a duration of Two years and a Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) program of four years’ duration. These programs are laid down in such a way that the students are geared towards strong footing in pharmaceutical sciences in order to foster them in the modern day growing healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
