The D.Ed. course has an intake of 50 students and provides foundational input to students who wish to take up the profession of teaching at the primary school level. The B.Ed ., its mainstay, has the largest intake of students—100 in the course—thereby preparing the graduate for teaching at the secondary school level. The M.Ed. course offers 50 seats to students desirous of taking up teaching at the higher education level or seeking advanced pedagogical knowledge. For the B.Ed course, one has to qualify in the B.Ed Common Entrance Test conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. This test is conducted at the state level and is aimed at assessing the aptitude and knowledge of people who intend to take up teaching as a profession. Admission into the M.Ed programme is conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University based on the performance of the candidate in the Common Entrance Examination conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University.
