The Al-Ameen Medical College was started in the year 1994 and was located in Bijapur, Karnataka, India. This affiliated college, approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), provides a broad spectrum of medical education in this huge hall-centric campus of more than 200 acres. The college had a total number of students enrolment of 599, and it consists of 117 faculty members to support the students intending to become good medical professionals. Al-Ameen Medical College presently teaches 16 courses under four degree programmes and focuses on the different aspects of medicine. The Al-Ameen Medical College is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru. Al-Ameen Medical College occupies a rich base of facilities and resources intended to develop the academic and personal development of learners. They include: hostels, boys and girls, which ensure that every candidate is well accommodated and comfortable. A college is provided with a well-equipped Health Centre with first aid facilities in support of the college community. For physical fitness, the college features a professional fitness centre and other amenities, including sports tracks and fields. Al-Ameen Medical its present form, in its present form, offers a total of 16 courses, and all the programmes are full-time. The basic MBBS programme serves as the foundational programme of the undergraduate programmes offered, and different postgraduate courses serve the purpose of specialised medical education. The college offers MD and MS courses in various fields of medicine, including General Surgery, Pathology, Physiology , Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics and General Medicine and others.
